About the CatholicCare Foundation

The CatholicCare Foundation was established in 2002 to provide financial assistance to CatholicCare’s welfare work and other like-minded charitable organisations. The directors of the Foundation wanted to create a funding base to ensure the work of CatholicCare will continue long into the future and also support the one-off projects and charitable organisations.

About CatholicCare:

Founded in 1941, CatholicCare Sydney is the official welfare agency of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Sydney. It provides services to all people regardless of religion, or ethnic background and needs an independent funding base to sustain and develop its work.

Gifts and bequests received by the CatholicCare Foundation are invested in a diversified mix of investments managed by Australia’s most respected fund managers. The income from the investments is used to fund approved, innovative programs to meet the needs of the most disadvantaged members of the community

Your generous support can assist over 100 programs that CatholicCare delivers, including:

  • Specialist services for children with disabilities.
  • Family Support Services during times of personal crisis, grief, relationship difficulties and financial hardship.
  • Access to accommodation for young people who are at risk or are homeless.
  • Services that enable people who are ageing or have a disability to be cared for in their home.
  • Programs for people who are experiencing barriers to employment due to a disability or other personal problems.
